OU certified nurse midwives promote the health and well­-being of women and infants. OU's nurse midwives, board certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives, provide:

• •Pap test screening
• •Prenatal and postpartum care  
• •Low-risk pregnancy deliveries
• •Epidural (anesthesia) procedures
• •Family planning and birth control
• •Referrals for consultation with maternal fetal   
•   medicine specialists  if needed
• •Routine GYN Screening

Our obstetricians and gynecologists – physicians who provide medical and surgical care to women – have expertise in pregnancy, childbirth, birth control and reproductive system disorders. OU's OB/GYN physicians are board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and provide prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies.

Ultrasound

Ultrasounds are performed at the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center Clinic, in the Women's Health Care Specialists' perinatal center.

                                                               

Pregnancy Delivery

All patients deliver their babies at the Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, located on the Hillcrest Medical Center campus, 1120 S. Utica Avenue, Tulsa.
